Important Information regarding Traveling soccer.
1. Traveling soccer is available for boys and girls age 8 to 18 years old. Placement on teams is based on their birthdate not their grade in school.
2. U9 and U10 soccer for both boys and girls is considered developmental and non competitive, no scores or standings are kept. At these age groups skill development is the priority, not winning. Because these age groups are developmental, play ups to an older age group are not available.
3. On line Registration fees for soccer are as follows when paying by debit/CC:
U9/U10- $100.00+ processing fee
U11/U12- $215.00+ processing fee
U13 and up- $260.00+ processing fee
Payment by check can be made by mailing a check, a $10.00 additional fee is required when mailing a check.
4. There are options available for paying your registration fees:
A. You may pay in full on line using a debit/credit card.
B. You may make payments using your Debit/CC, thru our on line payment plan. A $50.00 down payment is required, remaining amount is made in 4 installments.
C. You may send a check to MSC, a minimum payment of $50.00 must be received by Oct 23rd, 2011. Until your check is received you ARE NOT considered registered. If your payment is received after 10/23/11 a $25.00 late fee will be assessed to your account. A roster/tryout spot will not be held for you if the minimum payment has not been received by 10/23/11.
5. Registration fees do not include the cost of the uniform, the uniform is $92.50 and is available through Mateo's soccer store in Monticello, payment plans are available for purchasing the uniform. You need to stop into Mateo's and get sized for your uniform and make the down payment of $25.00 prior to Jan. 1st 2012 in order to get your uniform in time for the season.
6. For teams that will require tryouts or evaluations these will begin on 12-3-2011, you will be notified as to the specific date and time of your child's evaluation/tryout.
7. Used soccer equipment and uniforms- if you are looking for or have used cleats, shin guards or uniforms please click on the link to the left called equipment recycle. There you can either post equipment you have for sale or find equipment that you need. Just follow the simple directions provided.
8. VOLUNTEERING- As you are aware the MSC relies on volunteers to keep our program running and to help keep registration fees down. If you have a child playing U11 or above you can earn back $40.00 of your registration fee by volunteering 2 hours of your time to the club for different activiites. These must be CLUB activities not Team activities.
CLUB ACTIVITIES- include things like: volunteering at soccer fest, setting up fields, working at the district tournament, working the shed for recreational soccer etc.
TEAM ACTIVITIES- which do not count towards your 2 hours would be team fund raising events, giving rides to team mates, and other things which only benefit your team and not the club as a whole.
9. New this year- there is a spot on the registration form for you to make a donation to the club to help with our expenses in providing soccer to the kids. You are not required to make a donation, but many people have requested this option, so it is included on this years registration form.
10. If you have additional questions please contact the Soccer board or attend Soccer fest on Oct. 16th 2011 from 3 pm to 6 pm in the Middle school commons area.
